“We are made to do hard things in community. Don’t “go it alone” in college.”
Our programs enrich the college experience, both inside and outside the classroom, with programs and departments that provide you with access to academic support and programming.
When starting something new, it takes discipline, flexibility, and consistency. Our college understands that it may take time for one to get into the rhythm and discover what may work for them. In addition to Academic Advising on college completion pathways, our team supports individual students through resources, workshops and 1-1 meetings. Often, this includes giving tips on how to be successful in the student’s specific program such as time management, goal settings, and fleshing out their "why".
Our doors are open to all students and our incredible Student Success Coaches are here to help! Success Coaches provide students a safe place for connection, to discuss goals, receive accountability, solve problems, and get connected with the many available resources ºÃÉ«App offers.
As Student Success Coaches, a majority of our time is spent supporting students academically and advising students throughout their educational experience. We often serve as a “hub” for correspondence with instructors, mentors and other staff in order to quickly resolve student obstacles.
We believe that to stop for “the least of these” is to stop for Jesus himself, so we strive to make room for individualized student support. We help you understand how to walk out the values and principles that we are teaching and empower you to step into brave communication in our environment. Our desire is to make the student’s experience as painless and enjoyable as possible, after all, learning is hard enough!
The goal is to help you realize the potential you have to grow and better yourself in this environment. Our heart is to provide encouragement, perspective, resources, and tools throughout your journey. Our goal is to see you thrive and to become more confident in your identity and your ability to be responsible for not only your education but to see it overflow in your everyday life.

Current students can connect with the Student Success Team by navigating to the Advisor tab on their Populi Account.
ºÃÉ«App offers a wide variety of tutoring support for every content area. Peer Tutoring offered through the Success Center is a peer-based one-on-one or small group service.
Requests should be submitted as soon as possible to allow time to identify the available resource or tutor.
Students may request a tutor for any course they are taking, however, it is not guaranteed that every student will be matched with a tutor.

A Student Success Coach (SSC) will listen and help create a plan to meet their academic goals., provide feedback, and suggest strategies or adjustments that will help them be a successful student.
Instructors and tutors will help students gain understanding and skills in a specific subject. SSC’s help students discover which skills need strengthening and direct them to the resources that will increase their success. SSCs also function as Academic Advisors, helping students understand the holistic view of their path to college completion.
No. SSC’s do not make any decisions when it comes to a students’ progress, absences, etc. Such decisions are issued by the Registrar's office. SSC’s will, however, provide clarity on our policies and will guide students to the forms or process so the correct department can make a decision based on if the circumstances align with the policy.
The college Resource Tab is a great place to get started. Students can also confirm who their assigned Student Success Coach is by checking who their “Advisor” is in Populi.
